Chapter 4 : Discovering the Skincare Range that would shape the future of my business.

During each month of 2025 I will be sharing with you some landmark moments in my business story.

Last month I told the story of the how my business was established and grew to the point that is was time to find a permanent home to carry out my treatments. Where our once damp and a bit grimy garage became my sweet smelling, warm and cozy haven for all my gorgeous clients.

Along with a new premises I had to get to work on the contents of my business, predominantly product brands and which to use.

Paramount in my thoughts was my choice of skincare. When I founded the business I made use of the Clarins and Jo Malone products that I had collected during my years of employment with both companies. However these were running out and I really wanted to find something more effective plus...

I wanted a product range that was organic. 🌿

Now... you may not remember but - back then the organic movement was in its infancy in the early 2000's so finding an organic range to suit my needs was not easy.

There were plenty of lovely home grown, home produced brands created by very talented individuals on the market. Whilst they had the right ethics, looked, felt and smelt incredible they were limited and only suitable for certain skin types.

I needed a brand that had a large professional range to inspire me as a therapist, and a retail line for my clients to purchase should they want to continue to benefit their skin at home.

So I got 'Googling' (which was also quite new!!) and I found...

Éminence Organic Skincare - I was instantly drawn to their fresh, colourful, clean ingredients and exciting textures. The creams, lotions and liquids reflected the colours of the ingredients inside them, so different to the various shades of white and cream that I had been used to using in the past.

I also later discovered that these concentrated, water free creations provided over 80% active ingredients in every pot. A stark contrast to the 10% average of mass market skincare.

Éminence Organic Skincare products helped me provide wonderful luxury Facial experiences for my clients as well as consistent results for their skin when they continued to use them at home.

Over the years my confidence in this organic range grew as more and more of my clients attracted to the brand were thrilled with the results they achieved with regular use.

Knowing this I then grew disappointed with the lack of premium skincare ranges available in my hometown. I was frustrated that local people were unaware of the incredibly effective natural and organic alternatives that were available to them just around the corner.

This inspired me to decide to attempt to reach a wider audience and spread the word. Spurred on by my confidence in Éminence Organic Skincare I knew it was time to make a leap of faith and open my shop in Tonbridge Town Centre in Kent England.

And here I am today. Combining my work as an Organic Facialist whilst introducing new customers to this exciting, innovative, ever evolving organic skincare range.
